The job would focus on designing power electronics for vehicle hybrid systems

-Working with high speed motors.

-Designing motor gate drives.

-Designing and optimising PWM-driven DC/DC converters.

-Simulating various control strategies for different converter topologies.

-Analogue and Digital circuit design and simulation.

-Evaluating and documenting designs.


My client will look at PhD qualified candidates, who may have limited or no professional experience but a solid theoretical background.


Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer: KB1207-5 

Exceptional Power Electronics Design Engineer to head up the Control and Power Electronics design and development team.

-Designing and optimising PWM-driven DC/DC converters for size and weight

-Permanent Magnet Machine Driver Development

-Specifying high power switching components

-Circuit design and simulation

-Testing and characterizing circuits and certifying work

-Evaluating and documenting designs

-Leadership and training of junior staff members

-Coordinating consultants and sub-contractors


You should be familiar with EMI Shielding and Signal Distortion.


Head Mechanical Design Engineer: KB1207-6

Senior Design Engineer to head up development of its technology platforms for test cell and vehicle demonstration


-Leadership of technical teams both internally and consortium development programmes.

-Controlling and documenting designs, displaying high standards in engineering analysis, design and material selection.

-you will have in in-depth understanding of engine performance optimisation with pressure charging systems.

-Understanding of combustion engine emissions control


Suitable candidates will be familiar with Combustion Engine Pressure Charging Technology, Automotive R&D processes, Engine Control Systems and
