<p>Initially they are looking for a Maintenance Technician to work a double day shift for a period of approximately 2 months before being transferred to a continental shift pattern. Although the position is initially on a contract basis, it is with the full intention of making the role permanent on completion of a 16 week probationary period. They currently have an opportunity for a ‘Maintenance Technician’ to join their engineering team.</p>

<p>The main duties of this role are as follows:</p>
<ul>
<li>Competency in Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical Fault Finding</li>
<li>City and Guilds Mechanical and Electrical Qualification 236</li>
<li>17th Edition qualification desirable.</li>
<li>Electronics 224 (or equivalent) would be an advantage</li>
<li>Basic machining / fabrication experience</li>
<li>Ability to read engineering drawings</li>
<li>3 yrs minimum manufacturing maintenance experience  </li>
<li>Good communication and organisation skills</li>
<li>Facilities Maintenance experience an advantage</li>
<li>Ability to work closely with a small team</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>Specialised machinery includes; extrusion plant, press/punch shop, tube-forming &amp; drilling equipment. The majority of the machinery is bespoke and purpose built for this production facility.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Candidates should be multi-skilled with the know-how to deal with electrics, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs. Strong problem solving skills and an analytical approach is highly desirable. Previous experience of PPM and continuous improvement projects is also beneficial.</p>

<p>Reporting to the Chief QA Engineer you will have responsibility for the inspection, test and verification of function and product release.</p>

<p>Whilst the role is predominantly SCADA based, some PLC work will be required and a working knowledge of one or more of the following PLC systems would be an advantage:</p>

<p>- Siemens S5/S7</p>

<p>The engineer will work from our Lichfield offices; however, there will be a requirement to work for periods on site, mainly for commissioning. This site work may also involve working overseas both inside and outside of Europe. A willingness to undertake remote support functions away from the office may also be required.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The role will vary from membership of multi-discipline teams to single engineer projects. The successful candidate will be expected to be self-motivated and proactive in completing the tasks assigned.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have a First Class or Upper Second Class Honours degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. Engineering, Physical or Computing Sciences etc).</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Our client is looking for 2 engineers &#8211; 1 junior with at least 1 years experience of high end SCADA and SQL programming salary c£24-£27k, the second will be a senior role looking for a minimum of 6 years experience of high end SCADA and SQL programming &#8211; salary negotiable.</p>
<p> </p>

<p>You will have a track record of working in a similar environment &#8211; domestic white goods etc and MUST HAVE F GAS CERTIFICATION.</p>

<p>Key Responsibilities -</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ø         Diagnostics and repair of commercial refrigeration and electrical catering equipment</p>
<p>Ø         Liaising with customer’s on site</p>
<p>Ø         Acquire knowledge of and keep up-to-date with new products and product developments</p>
<p>Ø         Answer engineer/customer queries on the phone</p>
<p>Ø         Report product issues to Senior Engineer</p>
<p>Ø         Attend team meetings as required by Senior Engineer</p>
<p>Ø         Complete ad-hoc projects as required by Senior Engineer</p>
<p>Ø         Record-keeping for all aspects of the role to demonstrate due diligence</p>
<p>Ø         Ad-hoc duties within defined areas of responsibility as required by Chief Engineer</p>

<p>Key Skills -</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ø         F-Gas Certification</p>
<p>Ø         Electrical knowledge</p>
<p>Ø         Good diagnostic/problem and fault finding abilities.</p>

<p>Ø         Experience in fault-finding/diagnostics</p>
