We believe that we should have a positive impact on our employees, customers and the wider community in which we operate.

ESB adheres to law, ethical standards and practice; employees commit to a code of conduct and embrace the responsibility for the impact of their activities on the environment, their clients, their colleagues and their candidates. We operate from a district with residential and business neighbours and behave with appropriate sensitivity.

Social responsibility

Environmentally conscious
ESB Recruitment is an environmentally conscious business and we continuously look at ways to manage the environmental impact of our activities. This includes evaluating our internal processes, maximising re-cycling, minimising our energy use and ensuring we select and manage our suppliers effectively.

As far as possible we use the most eco-friendly technology and spare natural resources. We promote efficient use of energy, evaluating our energy usage in the office and where possible, we purchase low energy office equipment.

We encourage recycling and promote environmentally conscious disposal of paper and toner cartridges. Wherever possible, we donate recycling proceeds to charity.

Charitable and community programmes
We believe that ESB should contribute positively to the community in which we operate. We engage with charitable and community programmes in a number of ways.

We support local charities, donating gifts for fundraising and we actively encourage volunteering within our workforce. ESB have sponsored staff representation at Oxfam, Crisis, Cancer Research and the local drop-in centre within the community.

We have an ongoing team sponsorship arrangement with a boy’s football team from an underprivileged neighbourhood and actively seek out work experience placements both within our office and with our clients.

At Christmas we run initiatives to support green charities; instead of printing Christmas cards, we send e-cards. All the money saved from postage and printing is donated to charity. The reduced printing also helps to manage the environmental impact of our activities.
